Free Fast Blog Finder – Better Than Comment Kahuna – Blog Comment Poster

I posted a few weeks ago about a link building software called Comment Kahuna. I gave Comment Kahuna a thumbs up, but after using it....er....trying to use it for the last few weeks, I've found two major problems with it.

1. The search function is terrible. I usually get blogs related to everything other than the keywords I am searching for. It really makes the software useless.

2. The software will sometimes list the same blog more than once for search results. If you aren't careful, you could post to the same blog twice.

I liked the idea of the software and spent some time searching for something similar that actually worked. That is when I ran across Fast Blog Finder. (affiliate link) It is very similar to Comment Kahuna and you can even download a free version of Fast Blog Finder at this link.

It features an excellent search tool and pulls in lots of related blogs for any keyword search. It keeps track of the blogs you post to and will allow you to sort related blogs by follow / nofollow status, home page pr, and post pr.

The big difference is Fast Blog Finder doesn't allow you to use profiles, so you have to manually fill out your name, email address, and url for each blog you post to.

This software works really well and is a great tool to connect with other bloggers.

I also downloaded Comment Kahuna and found that search is terrible, but also it’s missing other important functions and sometimes the computer hangs up. Thiss soft sucks.

I had the same experience with Comment Kahuna and really prefer Fast Blog Finder (although I am only currently using the free version). To get around not having the ‘profile’ feature of Comment Kahuna, you can use a nifty little (free) Firefox add-in called Informenter, that is awesome for keeping profiles.

I simply setup a profile in Firefox/Informenter, search using Fast Blog Finder, double-click the blog in FBF and with just a few clicks I can input the name/mail/website details, and even canned comments if I want (which I never do).

@skid-steer-guy – Excellent tip! Not having profiles was the only drawback I could find to using FBF. I’m on my way to download that add-in right now. Great work around.

@Promotional Items – I never had any problems with lock ups? I’m using Vista and always ran the program as the administrator.

Either way, you’d be well served to checkout the free version of Fast Blog Finder.

I installed Comment Kahuna, and then uninstalled it and reinstalled it 3 times (as directed by their Customer Support team in 3 different trouble tickets…) because it STOPS WORKING almost every day! (And on the days that it does work the program locks up after about a dozen comments! – Ugghh!)

I found FastBlogFinder in a Google search, installed it, and have been using it with No Problems for a week now! – So far it’s the BEST blog comment software (Free) that I’ve used!

I’ve noticed that Comment Kahuna comes up with the same results too no matter what you put in for a keyword. Maybe I’m doing it wrong but I keep seeing a lot of duplicate blogs. What do you expect for free though?
