Yahoo Directory Submission - Update #2
It hasn't been a good week for my search rankings. Lets recap what happened search engine by search engine.
Google - I think Google finally found my Yahoo Directory Listing. In one weeks time, I had a net gain of 21 positions on Google for some important high converting keywords. This move places all of my keywords on the first page of Google Search Results with the exception of 1. That's not a bad deal for a $299 directory listing!
Yahoo - Here is where the results are surprising to say the least. If any search engine would give weight to a Yahoo Directory Listing, most people would assume it would be Yahoo right? Well, that doesn't seem to be the case. Most of my keywords have moved to page 2 of the search results. In one week, I had a net loss of 47 positions and 2 of my keywords disappeared completely! Could this be a temporary change? I'm not sure. I'm anxious to run the ranking checker next week to see if this huge loss is just temporary.
MSN - For MSN I had a net gain of 3 positions. You should note, most of my keywords were down on MSN. The losses were offset by one keyword that moved up a total of 26 positions. If you remove this keyword from the results, MSN would have been a net loss of 23 positions.
I ran this report with Web CEO Ranking Checker. (Affiliate Link - Read this before you consider buying it.)
